Under further pressure, China has completely banned all telecom companies including Huawei, ZTE

Earlier in 2020, the FCC banned the use of equipment from Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE to secure US communications networks.

The United States again banned many Chinese telecom companies citing national security reasons. Today the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) banned the import and use of telecom equipment from companies such as Huawei and ZTE.

The US commission said these companies' devices pose a national security concern. The five members of the FCC voted unanimously to ban the sale and importation of these companies' products. This ban will exacerbate the chip shortage.

Earlier in 2020, the FCC banned the use of equipment from Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE to secure US communications networks. This time, the parent company, affiliated companies, and subsidiaries of these companies have also been banned.

In addition to Huawei, Hytera Communications, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, and Dahua Technology Company were also banned, although the Chinese government and Huawei claimed the ban was a rumor.
